We just received a few new bits, and a bunch of favourites that we don't always have in stock,so that's good news! What's new - (by the way, the question mark key is no longer working on my laptop here, so I will have to assume you can cope with my incessant rhetorical questions, ha ha.)
Lancashire Eccle Cakes! There are 4 in a pack, and they are very very lovely. I know this because I have to sample everything don't I.
McVitie's Jamaica Ginger Cake: We don't always get these, they are hard to come by but we do have them today so if you fancy some, call and reserve! Or get down sooner than later, because these will be gone.
Lees Scottish Tablet: You know who you are, and yes we have them in stock!!
Scottish Fudge Bites: ON SALE!!!! Usually these are $7.50 a box, but we have them on sale for $3.75. WHAT? YES! We have been told by several people that this is a gorgeous fudge, so do take advantage of the sale price if you fancy fudge.
Smarties!! TWIRL!! - 'nuff said.
Robinson's Pineapple-Mango Squash: No sugar added, and quite delicious!
BIGGA MARROFAT PEAS: IN THE TIN!! JUST LIKE YOU WANT! Ha ha. We used to get these all the time, and then we couldn't get them at all, and now it seems they are available again, so who knows? But we have them now.
By now you know we are mad fans of the Mrs. Darlington line of jams and curds and chutneys. So, we have in a fresh batch of the lemon curd, plus we have beautiful recipe cards from Mrs. Darlington, for Lemon Curd & Almond Butter Biscuits, Zesty Lemon Curd Traybake, and Lemon Curd Ice Cream Terrine. So many ways to enjoy Lemon Curd... or you can just be dipping your spoon in the jar, of course.
We also have the Rhubarb-Ginger Jam, and the irresistible Autumn Fruit Chutney. AND, we have in the Farmer's Pickle - which if you've not tried, well, you are missing out on something outstanding.
WHAT ELSE? Freezer is packed, so that's grand. Scottish Meat Pies, Pork Pies, Bridies, and all the rest - the Potato Scones, Sausage and all. Empires, Battenbergs, Custard Tarts, and more!
We have been rummaging around trying to get rid of old items and came across a few tidbits: Cheap Mugs! The Bolton Wanderer's F.C., and Portsmith F.C. = $5.00, no tax. Are you a fan? We also have two coat of arms mugs (also $5.00 measly dollars!) - Hampton, and Holden. Is that your name? A friend perhaps? No matter. They are here.
Those of you who have coveted our gigantic tea cups: we're selling one for $20.00. If you like it, take it. It would actually make a terrific terrarium, or a planter for African Violets or something equally adorable. We also have a three-tiered cake plate for tiny pastries and sandwiches, or whatever you like. Also, just $20.00!
Righto!! That's it for us this week! By the way, if you've not read "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins, DO! I just finished it this week and I am still reeling. It is one of the best thrillers I've read in a long time - just a brilliant book, written beautifully and most creatively. I literally could not put it down.
And this weekend, I will be eating Lancashire Eccles Cakes while I watch Season 2 of Happy Valley, starring Sarah Lancashire. Oooooh! Can't wait!!
So do enjoy your weekend, play safe and have fun! And treat yourself to a little something Bramble! Did I mention we have oodles of crisps? We do. Of course, we do.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
